Toddler Lead Teacher for 2012/13

Westside Montessori School
Teaching Career Opportunity

Westside Montessori School is accepting applications for a certified Primary teacher for an established classroom of 25 students and 6-9 Lower Elementary teacher to co-teach in an establish class commencing June or August 2012. Commencing fall 2013 there will be two lower elementary classrooms. Beginning in the fall of 2012 a new large one story elementary building will be under construction. It will house the lower and upper elementary classrooms, and also contain a performing arts theatre, and a multi-purpose room for Spanish, art and music. The new school building will also have conference rooms, library and computer lab.

WMS has 4 primary classrooms. Our primary teacher who has been with us for 15 years is retiring. New and experience teachers are welcomed to submit resumes.

The current elementary classroom is large and fully equipped and opens to a beautiful, spacious outdoor space. WMS is a not-for-profit school, governed by a Parent Board, and supported by an involved, active parent body. The Head of School is a seasoned AMI teacher with a career that expands over 25 years in the classroom as well as 30 years directing the school. Westside is conveniently located in a lovely neighborhood setting, with ample housing and apartments. WMS maintains an excellent reputation in our community. Our 3 acre campus is surrounded by a beautiful natural playground. Our school houses 3 toddler classrooms, 4 early childhood classes, and Lower and Upper Elementary class. Most of our teachers have been with Westside for 10 years or more.
