Administrators Course for Leading Schools

The credential courses consist of several phases. The academic phase includes lectures, demonstrations, materials' practice, small group projects, personal research, presentations, seminars, and curriculum development. The academic phase takes place on-site and students must make housing arrangements. The practicum phase requires working with an internship at an approved practicum site. The AMS web site has a list of available sites. A research project is also required.

In AMS affiliated courses, a team teaching approach is used in teacher education. The faculty has a wide range of skills and keeps up-to-date on the most recent research in the fields of education and human growth and development. Experienced mentor teachers, instructors, and field consultants guide the teacher through the academic and practicum phases of the program.

The Center pays all travel expenses for supervision of practicum within 100 miles of the Center. Students or their schools pay for travel expenses over 100 miles.
